
Vanishing West

Noni Dornstauder was an Educator and an Artist who concentrated on painting and sculpting the history of the indigenous people of the prairies.
She recorded their leaders and lifestyles including the natural beauty of the grasslands. Born on a homestead in Southern Saskatchewan she was always fascinated by the beauty and uniqueness of the region as reflected in the arts she created from a variety of media.
SISTERS OF HOPE
A special bronze sculpture that was commissioned by the Millennium Arts Fund and installed at the Eye of the Eagle, a holy Place in the Cypress Hills, site of the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge.
Future exhibits and installations to be announced in 2026.


We are dedicated sharing and showcasing the works of Artist, Noni Dornstauder, in loving memory of a teacher, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and friend who dedicated her work to recording the leaders and lifestyles of indigenous people of the prairies and the natural beauty of the grasslands.
